This desk is one of three reproduction pieces based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs for one of his homes in Arizona. This piece was created from a combination of veneered plywood and solid cherry wood with a walnut stain. A waterfall effect of continuous grain is achieved by utilizing a single piece of plywood with mitered joints. A solid cherry face frame secures the laminated plywood core and obscures the undesirable plywood end grain. All components of this table were finished with a natural tung oil blend.
